Switzerland export to India: 2.77 billion Swiss Francs
Between the two countries the balance of trade has remained in favour of Switzerland. According to the federal customs administration in 2011 Switzerland imported goods from India worth 1.18 billion Swiss Francs,while exports to India reached a total of 2.77 billion Swiss Francs.The Swiss-Indian trade volume increased by around 25% between 2006-2011.The major items of Indian exports to Switzerland are textiles, organic chemicals, jewellery, leather products.
Swiss major exports to India consist of machinery, electrical and mechanical equipments, pharmaceutical products and chemicals.
According to the IMF India growth is projected at about 6% in 2013-14.
